A Brief Overview of our 3D Visualisation Workflow

Updated: Mar 6

Every architectural visualisation company is different and we all have our own unique ways of working.

I cannot comment on others, but I can talk you through how we work here at Resolution Studios. We opt for a collaborative approach and like to work with our clients, to generate the 3D visuals of their design concepts. This collaborative approach results in the issuing of draft images throughout the development of the 3D model, taking onboard any feedback from our clients.

This iterative approach, results in 3D images that our clients are proud of and showcase their developments.

Discovery Call

Once we have received the information for your project, we'll take a look and become familiar with your scheme.

When looking through your drawings it will no doubt raise some questions our end. We will then arrange a call with you, to get a better understanding of what you are looking to achieve and what you’d like to receive from us. This is an opportunity to answer any additional questions you may have, about working with us.

We are then in a position to work out a fee and a timescale for your project.

Itemised quote

We always provide an itemised quote for our 3D services.

After our discovery call, we'll provide you with an itemised quote and examples of past projects from our portfolio, so you can see the quality of our work. We are always transparent with our clients, so you know exactly what you will be receiving from Resolutions Studios and what the fee for this work will be. We will also give you an indication of how long the project will take and when you could expect to receive your 3D images.

This way you can budget accordingly and everyone knows where they stand.

Schedule project

When our quote has been accepted, we can then schedule your project.

We can now make a plan to move your 3D project forward and give you a more accurate completion date. We start our projects in the order they are confirmed, so if there is a delay between issuing the quote and accepting, the estimated completion date may be pushed back. This is why we will always confirm completion dates when a project has been accepted, and we can work with you to hit your clients deadlines.

However, we do find that clear communication at this stage is key to having a successful project.

Work our 3D magic

At this stage we will request the most up-to-date design information for the project.

This information consists of the latest CAD files, photos, sketches and proposed finishes. We can then start creating the 3D model of your proposed development. Once we have created the structure of the 3D model, we can then start building up the materials within the scene and add cameras to capture the 3D visualisations.

When we are in a position to share draft images with our client, we will do so, as feedback throughout the development of the 3D visuals is paramount to a successful project.

Issue drafts and feedback

When we create our 3D visuals, we like to work WITH our clients.

At the end of the day, it is their design and vision we are looking to recreate. We issue draft images and ask for feedback throughout the development of the 3D model. This gives our clients many opportunities throughout the project to refine and improve the design by making any design tweaks as required.

As a result, giving our clients a well polished visualisation of their development, that showcases their vision.

Final images

We work with our clients until they are 100% happy.

Only then, do we move to the next stage, which is to render the final 3D visualisation. At this stage we will render a high resolution version of your 3D visualisation, these 4K images will show even the finest of details within your scene. Once rendered the post production work can be completed and the image issued.

Our clients are now in the possession of a stunning 3D visualisation, which they can use to showcase their project.
